MEET THE STAFF
Advantage Urgent Care combines physicians, physician assistants and health care practitioners to give us an opportunity to professionally and efficiently treat and care for patients with a wide range of medical problems.
- A physician is on site and available to patients at all times.
- A physician assistant is available to assist the physician with your health care needs, minimizing wait time.
- Trained technicians allow us to administer complex nursing care such as hydration therapy, intravenously.
- Radiology services are provided on-site with interpretation from a board-certified radiologist.
Karen Watts, PA-C, CPC
Karen is the President of Advantage Urgent Care. Karen’s career as a Physician Assistant has primarily been in emergency and Urgent Care. Karen is a graduate of Arizona School of Health Sciences with a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
Christopher Pua’a, CPCT
Chris Pua’a is the Operations Manager. He has been with Advantage Urgent Care for nine years and is a co-owner. Prior to joining Advantage Urgent Care, Chris spent five years working Emergency Medical Services for the City and County of Honolulu. He also has five years of service as a Hospital Corpsman with the United States Navy.
Danielle Kempton
Danielle Kempton has worked in Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine and Family Practice for four years. She is a faculty member and alumna of Midwestern University.
Doctor Matt Essary, MD
Dr. Essary joined Advantage Urgent Care in 2003 and is Board Certified in both Family Practice and Urgent Care Medicine.
Doctor Harry Lum, MD
Dr. Lum is the Medical Director at Advantage Urgent Care. He is a graduate of the University of Hawaii School of Medicine and the Family Practice Residency program at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix. Dr. Lum was an Emergency Room Physician for over 20 years in the Phoenix area before joining Advantage Urgent Care in 2005.
